CALDERA released June 11th & NW TOUR

Hey friends
so, firstly, i would like to announce that CALDERA, my fancy new record will be released into the world on June 11th. Our CD release party will be at the Cactus Cafe in Austin Texas on June 13th with the delightful Rebecca Loebe (BUY TIX HERE!!). On June 11th you will be able to get a copy of Caldera from our store as well as from iTunes & bandcamp and whatnot. Hooray!
Also, the delightful Rebecca Loebe and i will be touring the Pacific Northwest starting May 9th-May 18th. Check the TOUR PAGE for all our Oregon & Washington dates. We'd love to see you out at some shows and i *may* have copies of Caldera for you there as well. Shhhh... don't tell! Or actually, DO tell!

SPRING! TOUR! ALBUM RELEASE!

Ok you guys!
exciting things going on. First off, CALDERA will be released to the world on TUESDAY JUNE 11th. I can't wait for you to hear it.
Secondly, I am touring a bit this spring to the East Coast in April with my sweet Andrew Pressman on bass and to the West Coast in May with the loveliest Rebecca Loebe. Please check out the tour page for dates.
Thirdly, the FOLK documentary is premiering at the Nashville Film Festival on April 19th. I can't wait for it to be out in the world.

Post-Folk Alliance & Springtime plans

Hey friends!
Hope you are enjoying the almost Spring as much as we are in Austin (the land of mostly Spring and sometimes hellish heat). Andrew and Emmett and i bundled up and went to Toronto for the International Folk Alliance conference. It was a blast! We played shows with Sam Baker & Steve Poltz and Andrew played with Nels Andrews & Robby Hecht as well. There are some great pictures up on our blog ---> www.famontheroad.com We'd sure love it if you checked it out.
CALDERA is almost done. It is by far our best work yet. I cannot wait for you to hear it, and if you are our a part of our kickstarter team, we sent you a song to listen to already! Hope you liked it! It is not too late to join our team, just send an email to Raina@rainarose.com if you'd like to contribute to our cause and you will get the same benefits as our existing backers. Call it a kickstarter extension! Promotional campaigns are a hefty expense for independent artists and we are currently trying to navigate those deep waters without the benefit of a record label. All the while, so grateful for your involvement and very excited about the months to come.
We will be traveling a lot beginning in April, including west coast and east coast tours and then this summer we will be all over the map. check out the TOUR page for details. We are always looking for amazing people to host house concerts, they're the modern day folksinger's bread and butter! just send an email and we will figure it out.

welcome to our new site!
With our new album, Caldera, almost done we wanted to reveal the beautiful album art by Dan Grissom. So we asked our amazing friends Jason & Vanessa Lively of Lively Productions to give us a makeover. We love it.
Caldera is mastered and ready to go but we are searching out the right team to help us get the album into as many ears as possible. As soon as this team is assembled we will reward our kickstarter backers with the first copies. We are hoping you'll help us by doing things like writing reviews on itunes & cdbaby and requesting the record on your local radio stations. Anything like that is incredibly appreciated.
We also are happy to launch our new blog; Fam On The Road. We are writing accounts of our family's odd adventures and posting pictures from the road together & apart. Check it out up on the "our blog" link or here at, www.famontheroad.com

WE DID IT!

Well, that was a whirlwind! Through 644 people we raised over $20k via kickstarter to fund our new record! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
I can't even begin to express the deepest gratitude that is exploding from my heart. Wow. It was an incredible thing to be a part of.
The album is almost complete and should be out and ready by early spring 2013. I will certainly keep you updated.
We are playing in Austin, Houston & Portland over the coming months, but generally taking it very easy until after Folk Alliance in Toronto in February. See you there!
